Volunteers Rule at Peter’s Pantry!
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Peter’s Pantry and they provide an invaluable service every day. It is through the help of 60 to 80 volunteers that the pantry can function. Daily 15 to 20 volunteers are needed to operate, maintain, and help the recipients. The heart of the pantry is caring, concerned volunteers who always treat the recipients with the utmost respect and courtesy. The volunteers keep the pantry organized, clean, and running smoothly so the recipients can receive much-needed food. Many of the recipients also help us out as volunteers.
Volunteers are needed seven days a week. On days when the distribution is not occurring, volunteers perform many maintenance and organizational activities. Volunteers also help us with the many special events for donating food which occurs on the weekends. There are many times and opportunities available to help, from just a few hours a week, to multiple opportunities all week long. There are also opportunities for groups to come and help. Peter’s Pantry is a great opportunity for individuals, families, service clubs, and organizations to help feed our community.
